"Margaret Ellen Horr, daughter of John N. Horr (a native of Preston, Preston, Virginia) and Elizabeth Fetters (a native of Chester, Wayne, Ohio) of Belmont, Warren, Iowa, was born there on June 24, 1877.
She married first on December 25, 1897 in Belmont William Agard, son of Elias Agard and Margaret Davidson of Pleasantville, Marion, Iowa. They had daughters named Leona and Lillian from 1899-1901 in Belmont before relocating to Portal, Burke, North Dakota where they resided in the 1910 US Census.
After William Agard died on November 5, 1911 in Portal, Margaret married next at Portal in 1913 Julius Schwarz/Schwartz, a railroad telegraph operator in Portal and son of immigrants Mathias Schwarz and Theresia Schmid of Albany, Stearns, Minnesota.
Julius and Margaret resided in Portal, North Dakota until Margaret's daughters Leona and Lillian were on their own, appearing alone as a couple in Fessenden, Wells, North Dakota in the 1925 North Dakota State Census and in the 1930 and 1940 US Census.
Since they do not appear in the North Dakota State Death Index, they appear to have relocated sometime after 1940 to Warren County, Iowa where Margaret was born and they were buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Indianola after Julius died on September 7, 1955 and Margaret died on July 28, 1970."
