  [[ Obituary: Sunday Republican (Springfield, MA) - January 7, 1996 Deceased Name: Margaret M. Shevlin Margaret M. (Hoar) Shevlin, 87, of 287 Essex St., died Saturday in Providence Hospital. Born in Lougher, Annascaul, County Kerry, Ireland, she attended local schools and was a resident here for the past 60 years. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church and a member of its Holy Cross Rosary Sodality. She was also a former member of Sacred Heart Church. She did volunteer work at Holy Cross Rectory for many years. Her husband, Malachy Shevlin, died in 1963. She leaves a son, Edward F. of Ridgewood, N.J.; two daughters, Mary V. Grogan of Windsor, Conn., and Margaret McMahon of Springfield and 12 grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday morning at the James P. Hobert & Sons Funeral Home and in the church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday afternoon and evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Cross Church Ramp-Organ Fund, 23 Sycamore St., Holyoke, 01040 or Holyoke Geriatric Authority Activities Fund, 45 Lower Westfield Road, Holyoke, 01040.
