Kirkman died Oct. 25, 1999, at age 96. No service will be held. Mrs. Kirkman was born Aug. 5, 1903, in Douglas, Wyo. Her maiden name was Horr. She taught elementary school in Douglas and Los Angeles, and she received a degree from the Univeresity of California at Los Angeles. She moved to Beaverton from Hermosa Beach, Calif., five years ago. In the mid-1930s, she married William Kirkman; he died in 1965. Survivors include her nieces, Marie Bent of Beaverton, Janet Camaras of Newport Beach, Calif. and Betty Hunsinger of Fort Collins, Colo. Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to Legacy VNA Hospice. Arrangements are by Omega Funeral & Cremation Service.
