Alan retired from Hannaford Brothers in South Portland as a security guard in 1993. He was a long-time resident of Portland, moving to Skowhegan in 1994. He is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, with funeral services following at 1 p.m., at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
