She was the only child of Barnett (Barney) Chastain and Ora Ellen Trinkle, born December 16, 1908 in Salem, Washington County, IN She married her sweetheart Fred Granville (Hoar) Howard on September 27, 1930 in Erie, PA and they have been happily married for over seventy years. She is survived by her husband; son James Edward Howard (Patricia), Provo, UT; grandsons: Travis Page Greenwood (Andrea) of Rolling Hills Estates, CA and James Mathew Howard of West Los Angeles, CA; granddaughters: Suzanne Bringhurst (Gary) of Boise, ID; Tamela Blake (Boyd) of Provo, UT; Carolyn Marie Clanton (Richard) of Carthage, MO; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11, 2001 at 11a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where friends may call from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery
