He had worked as a driver for the Kansas City Auto Auction and was a member of the Moose Lodge of Clinton. Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Helen Taute and Georgia Bryant. Survivors include one sister, Viola Dedrick, Springfield; two nephews, Larry Dedrick, Sr., Moberly, Louis Taute, Independence; three nieces, Eva Horr, Springfield, Donna Kirsch, Kansas City, and Maria Tuck, Independence.
