  Sorce: Framingham Genelogical Register Edmund Rice and Thomasine Frost has 9 children born in England and 1 born in Sudbury. Edmund and his second wife, Mercie (Hurd) Brigham, widow of Thomas of Cambridge, m. Mar. 1, 1655, had 2 children. Source: Rice Genealogy (found at Godfrey Memorial Genealogical Library, Middletown, CT ,July 2003): Edmund Rice was an original proprietor of Sudbury and Marlborough, MA. He was a prominent man with large holdings, a selectman, one of the deacons of the church, Deputy to the General Court in 1640, authorized to solemize marriages, and was called "Goodman Rice." Tamazine, his wife, and mother of eleven of his children, died in Sudbury, MA on June 13, 1654. On March 1, 1655, he married Mercie (Mercy Hurd) Brigham, widow of Thomas Brigham, by whom he had two children. He died in Marlborough, MA, on May 3, 1663, and was buried in Sudbury, MA.
