Obituary: http://bigelowsociety.com/rod2001/kent2001.htm Obiturary for Dwight Horr Paper dated Mar.13, 1942 Urbana Daily Citizen Dwight Horr,66 died at 8:30 a.m., Friday at his home on South Main Street, Mechanicsburg. He had been ill for some time with a heart ailment, and had spent intervals in the last few months at Mt. Carmel hospital in Columbus. He was a native of Mechanicsburg and for 40 years was manager of the Mechanicsburg Lumber Company. Surviving besides his widow, Linda are two sisters, Mrs Lucy Gannon and Mrs. Laura Dickey, Mechanicsburg; and two brothers, Percy Horr, Urbana, and Bert Horr, Leesburg, Ohio. Services will be held Sunday at 3:00pm., From the residence. Rev. E.H.Dickey, assisted by Rev. Paul I. Wachs, will officiate. Davis and Byers will have charge of the services and interment will be made in the mausoleum at Maplegrove Cemetery. +++++2nd Obituary for Dwight Horr from paper dated March 16, 1942 Burial services were held at 3p.m. Sunday for Dwight Horr, 66, who died Friday at 8:30 in his home on South Main street, Mechanicsburg, from a heart ailment. His death was not entirely unexpected. Mr. Horr had been manager of the Mechanicsburg Lumber Co. for more than 40 years and had resigned only a few weeks ago as he and Mrs. Horr were planning a trip to Florida in the interest of his health. He was a life-long resident of Mechanicsburg, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Pierce Horr. In addition to his widow, Mrs. Mrs. Linda Kent Horr, two brothers, Percy Horr, Urbana, and Bert Horr, Leesburg; and two sisters, Mrs. F. E. Gannon and Mrs. Harry Dickey Mechanicsburg, survive. Burial services were conducted by the Rev. Paul I. Wachs, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg. Burial was made in the mausoleum at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Mr. Horr was affiliated with Masonic Lodge, Masonic Chapter, The Knights Templar and the Modern Woodman Lodge.
