Lalumiere September 25, 2008 Pensacola, Florida Shirley Arnetta Lalumiere, 88 Pensacola, FLORIDA--Shirley Arnetta Lalumiere, 88, of Pensacola, FL, died September 25, 2008, at her residence. Mrs. Lalumiere was born on November 16, 1919, in Portland, ME to Elizabeth (Calder) Horr and William E. Horr of Long Island, ME. She married Paul R. Lalumiere, Sr. of Falmouth, ME and had two children, Paul R. Lalumiere, Jr. (Kris) and Anne S. Wood (Frank), both of Gulf Breeze, FL. For many years, she was a ladies' retail buyer for Porteous, Mitchell and Braun and A. H. Benoit of Portland, ME as well as President of the Maine Mall Association for a time. After her retirement, she and her husband grew flowers and vegetables for the farmer's market in Portland. Gardening continued to be a source of enjoyment all her life. Besides her children, Mrs. Lalumiere is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Drake of Portland, ME and Sheila Reid of Fort White, FL, five grandchildren, Scott P. Lalumiere of Cumberland, ME, Todd P. Lalumiere (Lisa) of Falmouth, ME, Beth Ann Jackson, (Kenneth), of Cumming, GA, Laura A. Fisher (Donald) of North Bend, OR, and Laforest G. Robbins, Jr. (Carole) of Saco, ME. She also leaves ten great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her companion, Alfred Raplee of Pensacola, FL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral service at 1 p.m. at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland, followed by a reception at the Hobbs Hospitality Center. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
