Sunday, December 26th, 2004 - Joseph J. Hoar, of Yonkers, died on Friday, December 24, 2004 at age 69. Born on February 1, 1935 to Joseph and Marjorie (Kennedy) in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Gorton High School. He then went to the Atlanta Art Institute. Mr.Hoar was the Art Director for the Bozell and Jacobs Adversity Agency in NYC for over 30 years retiring in 1985. He married Joan Gilley in Atlanta, GA, in September of 1956, she survives. Joe was a Parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, enjoyed the Giants bus trips, and was an artist. He is survived by his four children, Joseph J. Hoar of Yonkers, Bridget Hoar of Yonkers, Vera Rouse of Queens, and Deirdre Hoare of Yonkers, his three grandchildren Charlotte, Declan and Deirdre Kathleen. He was predeceased by his brother Peter A. Hoar. Visiting Hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday evening, 7-9 and Monday 2-4 and 7-9PM.
