Hoar, 87, of Westfield Road, died Wednesday in a local nursing home. She was a 22-year clerk at the Holyoke Water Department. Born here, she attended the former Sacred Heart schools and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She leaves several cousins, including Maurice Hoar of Springfield, Patrick Kennedy of Ireland, Sister Catherine Kennedy of the Sisters of Providence in Holyoke and Nancy Alfieri of Springfield. The funeral will be Saturday morning at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home and the church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are late Friday afternoon through evening.
