  [[ Obituary: The Wicked Local Millis Newspaper, Published Thu Apr 24, 2008 Millis - Shirley Hoar, 85, a lifelong resident of Millis, died Monday, April 7, 2008, at Whitney Place in Natick. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Dorothy (Clark) Hoar. She was educated in the Millis Public School system and graduated with the class of 1940 before attending comptometer school in Boston. She is survived by two sisters, Joanne Andrews of Millis and Patricia Spirito of Lynn; a brother Robert C. Hoar of Port Washington, N.Y.; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, at the Church of Christ, 142 Exchange St. Arrangements were under the direction of Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 90 Curve St. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 142 Exchange St., Millis, MA 02054.
