He was a Justice of the Peace and an influential member of the Congregational Church. He m. (2) Hannah Holly of Dutchess Co., who was living in Pawling,NY in 1790. Bought land in Lanesborough, MA 1769. Eleazer and Desire were admitted to St. Lukes Church in Lanesborough, MA. 1771. Bought land in Lanesborough. (Berkshire Co. MA Deeds.) Served in Capt. Asa Barnes' Company., Col. Benjamin Simon's Regiment, Service 5 days on an alarm at the northward. Company marched from Lanesborough, Oct. 26, 1780. (MA Soldiers and Sailors Record Volumes.) 1781.
