Uriah Wood died in Mendota at the residence of his adopted daughter, August (actually September) 4th, age 82 years. the funeral took place in this city yesterday. Mr Wood came to this state in 1839 from New York and has resided in this vacinity ever since. He was highly esteemed by all.
