  Post-em, Jan 29, 2011 from Linda Hiross: lbrooks46(at)yahoo.com Ref: "The Descendents of Cornet Robert Stetson", publ. 1956 by the Stetson Kindred of America says on pg 256: Marshall Stetson, b. Mar 10, 1843 in Plainfield, MA; son of Orren and Annis (White) Stetson who m. Jan 1, 1828 prob. Plainfield. No bd for Orren or Annis given. She died Mar 10, 1885 at Plainfield. Orren was son of Whitcomb and Lucy (Snell) Stetson. Marshall had 6 siblings, including another Marshall b. Aug 15, 1835 who died young. Giving a later sibling the same name as an earlier one who died was not uncommon. Marshall and fa. Orren are descended from early settler Cornet Robert Stetson of the colonies.
