Also surviving are one son; two daughters; ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral Thursday, May 1, 1997, 3:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Hogansburg. Deceased Name: FRANCIS J. HOAR COMPANY PRESIDENT
The funeral for Francis J. Hoar, 96, Townsend Road, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church, Hogansburg, with Monsignor Clarence Devan presiding. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Hogansburg.
Mr. Hoar died at 6:15 a.m. Monday in Alice Hyde Memorial Hospital, Malone, where he had been a patient since April 3.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.
He was employed with Stebbins Engineering and Manufacturing, Watertown and Montreal, Quebec, and was president of G.D. Jenssen Co., Watertown, until his retirement.
He was a former member of Canadian Pulp and Paper Association, Corporation of Professional Engineers of Quebec and Clarkson College Alumni Association and a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1702.
Born April 11, 1901, in Fall River, Mass., a son of Michael F. and Elizabeth T. Teahan Hoar, he was a 1923 graduate of Clarkson College, Potsdam, and married Margaret Keenan on Oct. 18, 1927, at St. Patrick's Church, Hogansburg. Mrs. Haor died Nov. 12, 1988.
Surviving are a son, Thomas J., Eugene, Oregon; two daughters, Mary Reeves, St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. M.J. (Ellen) McElwain, Slingerlands; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
