GRAND ISLAND, NY | Harry G. Stoll, age 76, of Grand Island,
NY, formerly of Corning, NY, died Feb. 1st [2002].
He was born in Corning. His parents were Willard and Hazel
Stanton Stoll.
He graduated from Northside High School Class of 1944. After
serving in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, he graduated from N.Y.
State University at Cortland with a degree in Recreational
Education. He was a Recreational Director in several NY and
PA locations.
He retired from the Town of Tonawanda in 1994. Harry was very
active in the American Legion, serving twice as the Commander
of the Milton Brounshidle American Legion Post #205. He
hosted and guided many trips throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Harry was pre-deceased by his wife, Joan Stoll; brothers:
Willard (Bud) Stoll and Harold Stoll. He leaves children:
Brian, Karl and Erica, 4 grandchildren, many nieces and
nephews, sisters-in-law: Alice Stoll of Painted Post and
Cecelia Stoll of Tustin, Michigan, and a very "special"
friend, Faye Padak of Kenmore.
Funeral services were held at the Lester H. Wedekindt Funeral
Home in Kenmore on Feb. 8th. The American Legion Post
conducted the services following visitation.
