Dorothy worked in several places in Butte, even owning her own business, "High Country Feed and Supply." Her last job was in the cafeteria at Butte High School, where she loved being around the kids and considered her co-workers as extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arthur "Bud" Carlyon; sister, Marjorie "Joan" Tokish; husband, Kenneth; and nephew, Arthur "Butchie" Carlyon.
Dottie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and David Cassidy of Dallas, Lynette and Jim LeProwse of Butte; grandchildren, Josh, Jessica and Logan LeProwse and Cade and Kacy Cassidy; very special niece, Pam Tokish LeProwse; and several cousins and friends.
She beamed with pride and joy when talking about her family. They were her whole life and kept her fighting her illness.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or Shriners Hospital for Children.
