George and Esther married in 1827 at Blendworth in Hampshire and they had seventeen children all born in either Blendworth or Catherington. Two of their sons, Matthew and Zephaniah married in Hampshire and emigrated out to NZ with some of their children. Matthew married Susan Rutter and Zephaniah married Annie Zeuriah Hammond.
