      Deceased Name: HORR, LUIS ALVAREZ
      April 21, 1941 to February 1, 2008 Luis Alvarez, 66, of San Diego, died February 1st. Luis Alvarez was born in Calexico, California. He was a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He also lived in Mexicali, Mexico, where he worked in the family's agricultural business as well as for Kyocera in San Diego, California. He raced in the Baja 500 and 1000 and was an active member of his local dog-park community. Luis lived for his family, dogs, and wild Baja adventures. Survivors include his wife Judy Alvarez of San Diego; his daughter, Adrienne Alvarez Kamena of San Diego; his son Luis Andres Alvarez of Cardiff; his grandson Cruz David Alvarez Kamena of San Diego; and his sister Anita Alvarez Williams.
