      Vera T. Butler-Hoar, 92, of Marathon died Saturday at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.
      A native of Instander, Pa., Mrs. Butler-Hoar also lived in Cortland and Fort Myers, Fla., before moving to Marathon 17 years ago. She was employed with Smith-Corona Corp. while living in Cortland.
      Mrs. Butler-Hoar was a communicant of St. Stephen's Church, Marathon, and a member of the American Business Women's Association.
      Surviving are a sister, Ruth M. Henderson of Marathon, and several nieces and nephews.
      Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. Burial will be in Atwater Cemetery, Homer.
      There will be no calling hours.
      Contributions may be made to the Marathon Emergency Squad.
