Violet M. Horr, 88, of 83 Tallman St. died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Horr was a life resident of the Oswego area. Her husband, Frederick J., died in 1988 and a daughter, Ruth Ann Shurtliff, died in 1990.
Mrs. Horr was a life member of the Oswego Women's Bowling Hall of Fame and had served 28 years as secretary of Wades Diner Bowling League.
Surviving are a son, Frederick A. Orr of Oswego; three daughters, Margaret Lundy, Barbara Perfetti and Jean Sanders, all of Oswego; a sister, Thelma Gadbaw of Oswego; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home, the Rev. Steven Ingerson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 124 W. Fifth St.

Thelma (Gadbaw) Daniels
(March 16, 1910 - December 20, 2010)
Thelma (Gadbaw) Daniels, 100, of Oswego, passed away December 20, 2010 at St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Margaret (Bailey) Porter.
She owned and operated Thelma's Beauty Shop for over 30 years. She also owned Geers and Gadbaw's Restaurant.
Thelma enjoyed crafting for her family.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Violet Horr; a brother, Alvin Porter; step-brother, Nelson Porter; step-sisters Gladys Porter Shooter and Minnie Porter Kent.
Funeral Services will be held privately. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
