  [[Her brother's obituary: Robert Franklin King Elder at First Christian Church, West Alexander Robert Franklin (Frank) "Pap" King, 76, of Donegal Township, (PA), died Thursday, January 1, 2004, in his home. He was born June 22, 1927, the youngest of 11 children of William L. and Ruby Shafer King. Mr. King had many occupations, including butcher, welder, carpenter, farmer, construction worker and supervisor in a coal mine. Prior to retirement, he was employed by CR Hobbs and Sons Contractors. He also worked independently as a builder and remodeler of homes and commercial properties. From 1945 to 1946, he served in the U.S. Navy as a seaman second class as an anti-aircraft gunner. Mr. King was a member of First Christian Church of West Alexander, serving as elder and deacon for many years. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, golf and camping. He wove baskets, which won blue ribbons and sold internationally. Mr. King was a member of First Christian Church's dartball team, where he was known as "Pappy," and was a member of several horseshoe pitching clubs, winning many championships. On October 24, 1945, he married Leona M. Riggle, who survives and with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage. Also surviving are four daughters, Sharon King of Atwater, Calif., Barbara King Barchiesi of Waynesburg, Dianna King Myers of West Finley and Debra King Weaver of Washington; 12 grandchildren, Terry Ingram, Stacey Malli, Janey West, Jessica Wildman, Brenna Cipoletti, Mario Barchiesi, Gary Jr. and Eric Mahan, Melissa Chapman, Sheila Jordan, Gary Weaver II and Keri Cole; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel L. Pasco of Jeromeville, Ohio. Deceased are six brothers, Lewis, Charles, George, Martin, Daniel and John; and three sisters, Lydia Mahoney, Effie Calabrese and Flossie Horr; and a great-grandson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, 219 main Street, Claysville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 5, in First Christian Church, West Alexander, with the Rev. Oliver Burd officiating. Interment will follow in Mount View Cemetery, Dallas, W.Va. Claysville James R. Hunt American Legion Post 639 will accord military honors at graveside. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
