      Deceased Name: MARY F. GIBSON, 87
      Mary F. (Hoar) Gibson, 87, of 2 Hampton Road, Pomfret Center, formerly of 1050 Main St., died yesterday in her home after a long illness.
      She leaves two daughters, Mary F. Sheldon of Pomfret Center, with whom she lived, and Ruth A. Denoncourt of Union, Maine; a sister, Margaret Rivers of Needham; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George F. and Mary F. (Aheasey) Hoar, and lived here all her life before moving to Pomfret Center last November.
      She was a registered nurse. She worked for more than 50 years at St. Vincent Hospital and for several local physicians.
      Mrs. Gibson was a member of St. Peter's Church and a former member of Weavers Guild. She graduated from South High School and Cooley-Dickinson Hospital School of Nursing in Northampton.
      The funeral will be held Monday from O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St., Worcester 01609.
