753 | [[ Obituary: Beverly June Whitton MacLeod, 70 HARRISON -- Beverly June Whitton MacLeod, 70, a 31 year resident of Harrison, suffered a heart attack Sunday morning in her home and was life flighted to CMMC where she died on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, with her loving husband and family by her side. She was born in Portland on Oct. 5, 1941, and resided on Peaks Island throughout her childhood. She was the daughter of Meldeau (deceased) and Gladys (deceased) Hoar Whitton; and is survived by her sister, Marlene Whitton Thibeault of Standish, and her brother, Meldeau 'Sonny' Whitton of Cumberland. Her sister Cheryl Whitton Dennison is deceased and formerly of South Portland and Bangor. Beverly married, the first time, at a young age and started raising a family, with Benjamin O'Reilly Jr. on Cliff Island. It was then that she gave birth to her sons, Benjamin Hammond O'Reilly III of Harrison, Brian Gordon O'Reilly of Westbrook, Shawn Michael O'Reilly of Palmetto, Fla., and a daughter, Kelly Jean O'Reilly Profenno of Freeport. Beverly will be missed by all who knew her, but especially by her husband and soul mate of 43 years, Myles Kenneth MacLeod. On June 1, 1968, Beverly began her second marriage with her true love and life long partner. With Myles 'Rusty' she gave birth to three more daughters. Michelle Kendra MacLeod Saylor of Meredith, N.H., Melanie Rae MacLeod Wooster of Harrison, and Miranda Lee MacLeod, also of Harrison. Together, Beverly and Myles endured the ups and downs of life, marriage, and raising children. She loved to entertain and have her family and friends around her. A short list of those people included her loving husband; three siblings; seven children and their spouses; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; nieces, and nephews; as well as her dog, Nakita. Beverly was creative, talented, and resourceful. She could sew beautiful wedding gowns for her daughters, cut firewood on her own even if it was a board her husband had planned to use for furniture building, knit blankets for her grandchildren, cook and bake for 60 people without blinking an eye, garden, waitress, care for the elderly, work in retail, cheer for the Red Sox, cheer for her children and grandchildren in any sport they play, drink coffee with friends and talk for hours, do arts and craft projects with her grandchildren, and the list just keeps going. In her lifetime, Beverly raised her children currently ranging in ages from 54 to 34, her children's friends, and their friend's children. Ultimately, what she did best was love and be loved. Live, love, and laugh. At her request, there will be a gathering to celebrate her life at 1179 Edes Falls Rd., Harrison, on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, from 1 until 6 p.m.; words of love and encouragement at 2:30 p.m., followed by visiting hours. Thank you to the kind people of CMMC's ICU, first responders, life flight pilot, ER staff at Bridgton Hospital, and the friends that supported her and her family. 757 | [[ Obituary: Blade, The (Toledo, OH) - April 30, 2004 Deceased Name: LARRY C. SOMMERS, SR., 1941-2004 Blade's press chief a whiz at machinery Larry C. Sommers, Sr., superintendent of The Blade's pressroom for about five years where he was known by the nickname Gomer, died Tuesday in Toledo Hospital. He was 62 and apparently died of a blood clot after being taken to the hospital the previous day with pain, his stepfather, Lorne Trainor, said. Mr. Sommers' career with The Blade started when he was a boy, delivering about 100 papers in the Erie, Mich., area by bicycle after school, said his stepfather, a former Blade employee. Mr. Sommers of South Toledo was employed at The Blade for about 42 years, starting part-time taking papers off the press and checking proofs - a position called a fly boy. As superintendent, he was responsible for all pressroom operations, including payroll and purchasing. Thirty-five pressmen and three supervisors reported to him. When Alexis Hager became production director of The Blade, and Mr. Sommers' supervisor, Mr. Sommers generously shared his knowledge gained from years of what Mr. Hager called extreme attention to detail. Mr. Sommers, he said, had 200 settings of the press committed to memory. He enjoyed working on cars, training himself with what his stepfather called a natural curiosity. "Anything mechanical," his stepfather said. He was born in Toledo to Charles and Vivian Sommers. He was a child when his family moved to Erie, and he attended a one-room school there before graduating from Monroe High School. He married the former Naomi Hoar in 1965. Surviving are his wife, Naomi; son, Larry, Jr.; daughters, Christine Johnson and Cheryl Sommers; mother and stepfather, Vivian and Lorne Trainor; stepmother, Viola Sommers; brother, Robert Sommers; half brothers, James and Lorne Trainor, Jr.; half sister, Louane Villhauer, and five grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Neville Funeral Home's Southwest Chapel in Springfield Township, where the body will be after 2 p.m. Sunday. The family suggests tributes to Bethel Lutheran Church. | Sommers, Larry C. (I61278)

Due to the failing health of her husband they retired and moved to Mankato, Kansas in the fall of 1942. She was a member of the Ash Rock Congregational church, north of Woodston for many years. When she moved to Mankato, her membership was established with the Assembly of God church. Her entire life was spent in faithful work of her Lord. She was an active member serving with love and joy to the very end of her long and useful life. She served as Deaconess for many years. Her Christian influence will be far reaching and felt ofter with the marking of time. Her loved ones were comforted when among her later treasures these lines were written by her feeble hand: Let me not die before I've done for thee My earthly work, whatever it may be; Call me not hence with mission unfulfilled. Let me not leave my space of ground untilled; Impress this truth upon me that not one Can do the portion that I leave undone. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kramer Funeral Home in Mankato and at 3:30 at the Ash Rock church. Rev. Jack Dennisen and Rev.
